Situated on an existing car park of Stuart House, we proposed the development of a new hotel for Travelodge with ground floor retail units. As part of a highly prescribed project, we wanted to take a livelier approach to developing prototype budget hotels and changing how the public perceive the Travelodge brand as a result.
We devised a new cost-effective cladding system, which would form the hotel’s façade as well as its image. The new cladding would repeat across the exterior and between every room. It would vary from hotel to hotel to create distinct identities, yet maintain a uniform corporate image.
