The proposal is sited in an existing play area for the infants school- it was therefore decided to elevate the new building to allow for playspace and existing routes between scattered building to be mainainted. This gives the air of a viewing pavilion and is orientated over the playing fields, merging inside and outside space and allowing for crossover of uses. The transparency of the glass tube cladding aimed to dematerialise the building when viewed from the common, maintaining the sense of a view through to the fields beyond.
