A new cultural district of the city of Hualien is being developed by TLDC, including a Hakka style theatre, this entertainment complex, and hotels and residences. Our proposal introduces a layered skin able to reveal activities within, moving away from the typical 'black box' and transform itself at night into a programmable display system to be curated by Taiwanese artists.
