The Hualien area of Taiwan is famous for its dramatic landscape which attracts a multitude of tourists each year. The area is also notable for quarrying the best marble to be found in Taiwan. The proposed Hualien Marble Hotel is constructed from these traditions; upholding the rugged rich nature of its coastal location whilst employing the finest and locally sourced marble. Functionally and notably at ground entrance level the hotel accomodates a banqueting hall, gymnasium and spa. Set over the first and second floors are the reception areas, restaurant, all day banqueting and a number of retail units. Above the 225 hotel rooms are 20 penthouse apartments alongside a rooftop bar and swimming pool.
